Each Carrot Top Studio stole begins with a sketch and a story. Created in small batches, our stoles are designed to honor the rhythm of the church year and the many ways ministry is lived out. Ministry stoles for Lent are among the wide variety of stoles for clergy, ministers and chaplains at Carrot Top Studio.

Each stole is created by artist Jenny Gallo and her team, shaped by years of working alongside faith communities and ministry leaders.

At Carrot Top Studio, we create handcrafted clergy stoles that tell a story.

Each stole is designed and sewn slowly, with careful attention to color, symbolism, and the seasons of the church year. We believe vestments are more than garments, they are visual theology, worn at moments of calling, celebration, transition, and hope.

Our stoles are often chosen for ordinations, Pentecost, Advent and Christmas, Ordinary Time, and other meaningful milestones in ministry. Every design begins with listening: to scripture, to tradition, and to the lived experience of faith communities. From there, symbols emerge — water, flame, leaves, stars, birds — each carrying layers of meaning.

Carrot Top Studio has grown organically over more than two decades, shaped by relationships with clergy and congregations who value beauty, intention, and care. Stoles are created in limited editions, allowing space for creativity while honoring the handmade process.

Gifted Stoles for Newly Ordained Women
Women in their first five years of ordained ministry may apply to receive a gently used stole as a gift. This offering is part of Stories Behind the Stole, a Diakonos Solutions ministry that celebrates vocation, story, and shared support. If you would like to apply or participate, please email Susan.

Collective Giving Through Gift Certificates
Friends, family members, and supportive communities may contribute toward a collective Carrot Top Studio gift certificate. When donations reach $600, the recipient may choose four stoles from the Carrot Top Studio collection. With each set of four stoles purchased, Carrot Top Studio donates $60 to the Diakonos Solutions scholarship fund. Find out more.
