Ordination Clergy Stoles

Previously posted on May 22, 2020 — Ordination is such a time of celebration! We hope our stole collection for this special day honors the work of the Holy Spirit, the joy of the occasion and the anticipation of what is to come.

We saw this dotted fabric while shopping in New York City this winter. It spoke celebration to us! We cut the ombre yardage up and reassembled into new “fabric” strips that have become the highlight of this red clergy stole. See it in full here.

Originally my art practice was mainly with watercolor paints. So when there is opportunity to add paint to a stole it is was great joy and memory that we yield the brush. In this case textile paint has been applied to accentuate and meld one fabric design onto another. The “elation and hope” stole may be seen here.

Everything about this stole says joy! It was fun to try a new technique when applying the rainbow swirls on this Ordination stole. The color and texture make the stole really stand out and proclaim the joy of being called to ministry. See it in full here.

This stole is basic but not boring. The base fabric is cut from a gorgeous piece of fabric that has been dyed in a way to let the coloring have many undulations and subtle variety in tone. Purchasing this stole would all you to wear it for Ordination, Installations, Pentecost and other Spirit filled ministry moments.

This stole is unique because it is petite. We have found that there is no perfect size clergy stole — only what is perfect for you! So we try to offer a variety of options. Maybe this stole that is 46 1/2” long is just right. Measure from the back center of your neck to where you’d like the stole hem to end on one side to discover what you need.
