#738 Christmas Stole-What Shall He Be Called?

61.50 123.00

This stole is our interpretation of the scripture, Isaiah 9:6, "For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. The prickly holly leaves represent the crown of thorns that Jesus wore when he was crucified. The berries are the drop of blood shed for our sins. This imagery reminds us that the Christmas story is just the beginning of the story.

The stole front is crafted on solid white cotton. The cross and holly are appliqued and finished with machine embroidery. The berries and words are hand painted with textile paint. The holly is enhanced with tactile yarns. It is lined with the same cotton fabric as the front and is interfaced for added body.

Stole is available in several lengths as listed below. It measures 4 7/8" wide at the hem and tapers to 2 3/4" at the neck.
