Have you seen our “I Love to Tell the Story” coloring page? It’s downloadable here for a small fee.
Symbols in the Christian tradition of course can be found throughout the teachings in the Bible. For many generations the oral tradition of sharing the faith was supported by these symbols. Today we still recognize and use these! We intended this page to be used for the popular trend of coloring and/or as a teaching tool for “telling the stories.” Permission to reproduce paper copies of 75 or less by the person making the purchase. Please email the studio if you’d like to make arrangements to print more.
We think this downloadable could be used straightforward as a coloring sheet. But how about taking it a step further and use it as an eye spy activity in your church building. Have students circle symbols found as they walk through the building. (—placing the art on a clip board might make this an easier task—) Alternatively they could us a highlighter to check the found symbols off. The learning could be capped off as the group adds their own drawings of symbols that are in your church space but not on the paper! This type of learning could lead to a lot of great discussions about our faith history for children and adults!
