This summer’s travels found us outside Madison, Wisconsin. We love when travels are over a weekend as it’s always an appreciated adventure to worship with new to us congregations. August found us with the very welcoming community of Mount Horeb UMC.
This sun might simply be a signal that’s it’s summertime but we read it as a play on “the son.” We think the clever use of the hula hoop and sheer fabric could translate into a lot of different imagery.
Prior to Communion we were invited to take a strip of fabric and write a prayer on it. After we took Communion we had the opportunity to attach our prayers. What a great way to create a worship banner!
We appreciated the unique visuals and ways of drawing the participants into the service that the worship leadership was implementing. Keep it up Mt. Horeb UMC!
